Parenting through exhaustion and overwhelmÂ
A practical approach to reducing pressure for Autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent parents.
Â
Next session Friday 29th May 12pm AEST
Yes, I want to attend the sessionThis session might be for you if:Â
- You're an autistic, ADHD or otherwise neurodivergent parent
- You're raising ND kidsÂ
- You're exhausted, overwhelmed, or stretched beyond capacity
- Resting, prioritising and pacing don't seem to be helping
- You're looking for practical and low demand approaches that respect your reality
Â
If you're parenting on an empty tank, you're definitely not alone.
Parents often tell me they're trying 'everything' to stay on top of things but feel like nothing is working. If you relate, gentle reminder that the problem isn't a lack of effort, or a lack of skill.Â
Â
Many autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent parents are navigating high sensory, executive, emotional, social and communication demands on the daily and they are usually carrying these demands on behalf of their kids as well.
Â
This level of demand is not sustainable. Self care and pacing can't fill the gap when people are continually returning to the same demands that created the problem in the first place.
Â
This online workshop offers a practical approach to reducing pressure and supporting regulation in everyday routines, so that you and your family can create more sustainable daily rhythms and have more of the wellbeing that you deserve.
Â
Extending a warm invitation to this free online session as we:
1. Explore
How demand load impacts you and your children.
2. Understand
Why traditional approaches often don’t work for ND families.
3. Experience
Practical approaches that can reduce pressure and support regulation in everyday routines.
Hi, I'm Rachel (she/her).
I'm an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist, with more than 20 years experience in the mental health and community sectors.
This session comes from years of seeing neurodivergent parents blame themselves for systems and strategies that were never designed with their neurotype in mind.
My work focuses on helping people move away from pushing through and towards approaches that actually respect capacity, so that families can create more sustainable daily rhythms and have more of the wellbeing that they deserve.
"These tips are so helpful. I'm really looking forward to using them."
